Ayaka Komata

Yuko KomataAyaka Komata is a Geospatial Analyst helping people make better decisions with the use of geospatial technologies such as GIS, GPS and Remote Sensing.

She is a member of a local Astronomy Club and goes to star watching events to enjoy the beautiful sky from the East Tennessee mountains.

Ayaka has been in Toastmasters in Japan and in the United States starting in 1998. She is the past president of the Sapporo Pioneers Toastmasters Club and past VP of Education for the Fukuoka Toastmasters Club. In Japan, she hosted a Debate Workshop, a Voice Training Workshop and Demonstration Meetings. She also maintained club web sites for about 10 years. She served as the District 76 PR Officer in 2003-2004 and received an Appreciation Certificate from District 76 in 2006.

After coming to the United States, Ayaka served as the District 63 PR officer in 2008-2009 and 2009-2010. Currently she is serving as Vice President Education of Speechmasters Advanced Club #4022.
Her motto in Toastmasters is “Happy Toastmastering”. She is an International Convention repeater and travels globally to visit local clubs to meet with Toastmaster friends.
